FAQs

  • Ayurveda is the oldest documented health care system in the world. This “science of life” helps us understand the functions, rhythms, and relationships that govern all Nature in an approachable and common-sense way. As the nutritional sister science to Yoga, Ayurveda aims to bring balance and harmony to mind, body, and spirit through nourishing food, lifestyle practices, and natural remedies.

My own culture was greatly influenced by Ayurveda. While I grew up with these concepts at home, I have been practicing Ayurveda more traditionally since 2021 and have experienced firsthand its incredible impact on my well-being. Ayurveda is neither a diet nor a science of deprivation. It respects the individuality of each being and holds space for the things that bring you joy.

The Ayurvedic framework we’ll use is just that—a lens and common language for us to explore your health. As with everything we’ll do together, you take what resonates and leave the rest.

I wholeheartedly believe in science and evidence-based medicine. Holistic health practices should be complementary to western medical science, and when practiced with integrity, can help shift our culture away from this reactive dependency on pharmaceuticals towards a more proactive preventative lifestyle approach.

  • Yes, there is a difference. Which hat I wear depends on the type of support you need.

If we assess that you have imbalances we need to correct, then I’ll be in health consultant mode. This means I’ll be more direct with suggested diet or lifestyle changes to help improve your physical or mental well-being. Which adjustments you make will be entirely up to you, but you’ll receive a clear set of recommendations.

When we’re discussing where you want to cultivate balance, nourishment, and vitality in a broader sense—either personally or professionally—that is when I’ll be in life coach mode. My role is to hold space for you to be curious about your own life and ask questions that allow you to tap into your intuitive gut.

    You’re the healer; I’m simply a facilitator.

  • Every new client gets a free coaching session to start out. This gives us an opportunity to get a baseline understanding of your unique goals and mind-body system, and build a relationship grounded in trust and mutual respect.

  • Right now, all sessions will be held virtually on Zoom. Seattle-based clients may request in-person walking and/or cooking sessions as our schedules allow.
